Floriano Faissal

Floriano Faissal (São Paulo, February 22, 1907 - Rio de Janeiro on March 26, 1986) was a Brazilian actor, radio actor and composer. Floriano Faissal began his career as a theater extra and writing comedies and musical revues, but it was in radio, starting in 1938, when he joined Rádio Nacional to write sketches for the Luis Vassalo program that his career took off. He was one of the most famous radio actors of the 1940s and 1950s at Rádio Nacional and even became director of the station's Radio Theater Department. In the 1960s, he became a composer of music and theme songs for programs on TV Rio. He ended his professional career producing and directing programs for Projeto Minerva and Mobral on Funtevê and later on Rádio MEC. He made only two films in the cinema, the best known being "Inconfidência Mineira," in the 1940s. (Wikipedia)
